CAM and ICT
ICT and computer-aided manufacture (CAM)play a vital role in modern textiles production.
For example, they enable :designs to be sent electronically to the print manufacturer and
stored on computer to ease repeat printing orders. This session allow students to experience first hand, computer aided manufacture.
Students create designs using ICT and print them on to various textiles.
African Art
This session was requested by a network school and produced some wonderful artwork. It built on GCSE work done in the classroom and contributed to some excellent results.
Manga Madness
In this session pupils create a professional quality Manga-style image which is saved at regular points to show progression. A full colour print out is provided.
Digital Portraits
In this session pupils will take a photograph of themselves and then, using graphics tablets, create a digital version.The result can be coloured, filtered and adapted to match different artistic styles. The results are professional and impressive and can be suitable to KS3 and 4.
