CAM and ICT
ICT and computer-aided manufacture (CAM)play a vital role in modern textiles production.
For example, they enable :designs to be sent electronically to the print manufacturer and
stored on computer to ease repeat printing orders. This session allow students to experience first hand, computer aided manufacture.
Students create designs using ICT and print them on to various textiles.
Lego Robolab
LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT is the next generation in educational robotics, enabling students to discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way.
Pupils will:
- Program robots to move, play sounds, display images.
- Use sensors to demonstrate knowledge of input and output
- Complete a given scenario

Bring your pupils to Park View CLC to use this fantastic new CAD program which is intuitive, powerful and free! Yes, the program can be downloaded free from the internet and installed at your school to be used by pupils and staff alike! We’ll take your pupils through the major functions of the program so that they feel confident in bringing their design into a 3D environment. Images can be saved at any time to show the progression of the design.Pupils will produce a final set of images of their design.
