Musical Soundscapes
Pupils are set the task of creating a piece of music to accompany a short (1 minute) cartoon. Pupils are expected to explain their choice of instruments, tempo and mood as appropriate to the film's timeline.
Music Creation
Using Garageband it is simple and easy to create a great sound - Sheryl Crow recorded her latest album using the software!
A simple drag and drop procedure creates an impressive result which can be further tweaked and improved depending on ability and time.
Creating a podcast
In this short session (up to 2 hours) pupils are introduced to the software Audacity and are tasked with creating a short radio programme. Pupils record a script, add jingles and sound effects and background music.
