history.gif history.gif This free map animation software is an interesting way to visualize history! Animated maps show empires growing and countries changing in Europe, Africa, and Asia over 4000 years (from 3000 BC up to to 1000 AD).

You can stop the animation at any time by clicking on a civilization name, and details about this civilization's history will be displayed.
